Name & Clan: Thicketpaw - Rootclan
Age: Eleven Moons
Gender: Female (She-cat)
Allegiance: Rootclan
Rank: Apprentice
Description: A strong, sturdy little thing, even in the midst of her youth, Thicketpaw shows all the markings of making a strong Rootclan warrior. She has dark brown fur with thick black stripes along her back and sides, the stripes becoming thin and delicate down her legs and paws. She has powerful back legs and loves pouncing. She has dark copper eyes, wide and bright, surrounded by a cob-webbing of black around her brown face and muzzle.
Personality: (Quick reference: Curious, good listener, fast learner, curious, fascinated with what’s new, curious, brave, innovative, and did I mention curious)
Curiosity might very well kill this Rootclan cat. Never satisfied with what she knows, Thicketpaw wants very much to know absolutely everything. This is both her most endearing characteristic – she‘s eager to learn everything and never bored with lessons – and her most trying – she never wants to stop learning and always asks too many questions. For as much as she’s come to know, she never knows when to shut up.
Thicketpaw is very single-minded in her quest to absorb knowledge. She plays only up to the point where her playmates can teach her something new. This leaves her unpopular at times among her peers, not something she often rectifies since she spends so much time pestering warriors for more information. The obsession is obvious in the gleam of her eyes whenever she hears something new. She’s a great listener, but because she spends so much time processing new thoughts, she’s much better with ideas and the conceptual than with cats and the actual carrying out of actions.
Her thirst for knowledge leaves her enamored with the idea of anything new, and sometimes she resents what she sees as the staleness of Rootclan’s long-standing clinging to tradition. She will always be one of the first to challenge the avoidance of something novel in the face of custom. She wants what’s best for her clan, but sometimes loses that in her unending quest to see how new things and ideas work.
Thicketpaw is relatively thick-skinned when it comes to criticism, leaving her a bold apprentice who’s more than ready to become a brave, bold warrior. She’s creative with ideas, and a persuasive speaker when she stops listening and speaking only in questions. She truly believes innovations will bring her clanmates an even better life, and that dream is a close second to her hope of gaining as much knowledge as possible. She’s just not so great with displaying her care for her clan, leaving it buried beneath her endless questions.
History: Thicketpaw has a long history of getting her nose in places where it shouldn't be. She's been run up a tree after inspecting a Twoleg's yappy dog, stuck in a squirrel's nest, and nearly got into a monster's belly while following some Twoleg kits. She's getting reprimanded constantly for the curiosity that leads her to trouble even while praised for the same trait that aids in her warrior training.
