Firefly had come up here alone to check over the camp. The grief over his brother's death was still weighting him down, dampening his usually kindly spirit. Wanting the privacy and an evening in the open, he was now hard at work clearing scattered twigs and what appeared to be the remains of an old hawk's dinner from the outer camp.
He paused as a star appeared on the horizon. "Redtail..." he murmured, regret making his golden eyes dark.

Featherpaw was surprisingly quiet and agile for a tom his size. Relaxing for a bit after having cleaned a small part of the camp, he was startled by the appearance of a warrior.
Quickly, the large cream tom scrambled up to his paws, tail flicking nervously. He had worked hard, he really had. He didn't want to be scolded for something he didn't do.
The warrior seemed to be deep in thought. Featherpaw padded closer, clearing his throat awkwardly.

Havocstorm was just wandering, not an usual activity for him. He liked to be around the Outer Camp when no one else was there. It made him feel like he was important, the only living thing in an abandoned place. Even if there were no other cats around to talk to, it didn't bother him. Very few things bothered him, actually.
But the camp wasn't abandoned now. A smile lit up his face as he spotted Featherpaw and Firefly, working at cleaning up the camp. "Why hello there!" he called to the two cats in a booming voice. "What brings you to these parts?"

Firefly looked up in surprise, twitching his whiskers as he realized he'd been paying so little attention to his surroundings a predator could have crept to within a tail-length and he wouldn't have noticed. He flicked his tail in greeting. "Oh, Featherpaw, Havocstorm." He looked from one to the other. "Just..." Morning my brother, as usual? "Getting some cleaning up done."

"Well, a right good job you're doing there." Havocstorm nodded, a broad smile on his face. He didn't much mind living with a little bit of sludge around, but some cats just didn't feel the same way. Oh well, to each their own. "Can you believe those other Clans actually think we live in the the sewage? Imagine that!" The smoke let out a booming laugh, not realizing it really wasn't the right time for his jokes.

"I was cleaning too!" Featherpaw chirped, with a wide smile. "It's always nice to come up and see the sun, feel the air, yes?" He laughed along with Havocstorm, eyes taking on a colder sheen. "The other Clans are fools." He purred, with a chuckle that had a decidedly malicious tone to it.

Firefly gave Featherpaw a puzzled look, the decided he must have imagined the malice in the tone of the usually good-natured apprentice. He grinned faintly at Havocstorm. "Imagine." He muttered, then cursed himself for sounding so faint. "I suppose it goes both ways. At a Gathering the other moon, I heard a Crowclan apprentice asking a Rootclan warrior if he lived in trees all the time and if he could glide like a flying squirrel." Oh yeah. That was interesting, Firefly, good job.

Flowingwater's slender build was, if anything unusual for her cunningly adaptable Clan. Most cats like herself belonged in CrowClan, if anything. Flowingwater herself felt nothing if loyalty when she thought about her own Clan, and a competitive wave when her mind trailed to the others. She belonged in TunnelClan, there was no denying it.
"Hey," she called softly, noting one apprentice and two warriors as she padded silently forward.

That really gave Havocstorm a good laugh. "Picture that, flying cats!" he roared, nudging Firefly with his paw. "I'll bet all those RootClan cats would love to live in the trees with the squirrels! I hear they're just as good at climbing." He gave another raucous laugh as another thought popped into his mind. "And think, if CrowClan started sprouting wings and cawing like crows!"
Shaking his head and still chuckling to himself, Havocstorm flicked is tail to Flowingwater, inviting him to join their conversation.

Featherpaw laughed along, shooting a sweet smile at Flowingwater. A she-cat, come to join their little party! How absolutely delightful! He shifted over slightly to allow the slender warrior to get into their little group.
"I wonder what HillClan is..." He murmured. "They seem....rather boring, yes?"

Firefly was a fairly big cat, and he still staggered under Havocstorm's powerful prod. He didn't mind though - he and his brother used to mess around as many young tomkits did. He glanced over to Featherstorm, flicking his tail thoughtfully. "Hillclan are a quiet clan." He admitted. He was not much of a strategist, nor ambitious and looking to take advantage of other cats. "Doubtless they're much like us though - right?"

"Hey guys!" Redwhisker called out, his bright red mackeral tabby shined in the light. "Whatcha doing?" he asked.

"We're stronger than them, yes?" Featherpaw meowed. Firefly was a fool if he could not see that TunnelClan was, by far, the most superior of them all. Certainly much better than HillClan, who had nothing to distinguish them from the others.
He turned around at the arrival of Redwhisker, with a cheery smile. "We're just talking about the other Clans!" He informed the warrior. There seemed to be an awful lot of cats up today...

Havocstorm puffed out his chest importantly. "Of course we're stronger than HillClan! We're stronger than all the Clans!" The smoke tom chuckled, a deep rumbling sound in his throat. He also nodded to Redwhisker, surprised at how many cats were coming up to the surface today. Well, the more the merrier!

Fireflight murmured agreement as he used his brushy tail to sweet aside some fallen leaves, collecting them between his forepaws and pushing them towards the riverbank. He loved Tunnelclan dearly, he just... hadn't been much into the daily life of a clan day since Redtail died. He nodded a greeting at Redwhisker.
"Hey, any of you go to the last Gathering? Heard there was quite a bit of excitement over that prophecy."

Havocstorm scratched his long neck fur absently. "No, I didn't go to the Gathering this time around." he admitted, though he didn't look too disappointed about it. "I was happy to stay behind and watch the camp...But man, that must have been some wild time, hehe."

Featherpaw smiled and nodded at Havocstorm, relishing in the fact that someone finally agreed with him. The smile still remained as the talk turned to the Gathering, even as he felt a pang of hurt inside.
"I...hope I get to be chosen to go next time." He meowed, with a flick of his tail. "But, well, yes, I am happy to serve my Clan by guarding our camp!"
It wouldn't do to let the warriors think he was ungrateful.

Firefly nodded approvingly to Featherpaw at his last statement. "The clans have been much the same for the past few seasons though... maybe this prophecy will shake things up. After all, it clearly involved all the clans." He thought out loud, though he was not an aggressive cat, it was interesting to witness change.

"Change isn't always welcome..." Havocstorm brushed a stray leaf off to the side absently. He didn't particularly mind change, as long as it didn't hurt anyone around him. After all, they couldn't move forward if everything stayed the same. And even during unwelcome change everyone needed his jokes to cheer them up.
Snorting slightly, the large smoke rumbled, "Maybe everyone would be less worked up if StarClan made themselves clear for once."

Sootfur was returning to camp with a rat clamped in his jaws, the solid black tom stumbling a few times. His amber eyes flicked to the group of cats as he heard talk of HillClan, eyes lighting up slightly. HillClan... He'd grown up there, and his adopted sister still called the peaceful Clan her home. The ever shy tom hung back slightly, amber eyes scanning the group. He'd never really been accepted into TunnelClan well, and there were still a few who never let him forget of his 'inferiority' because of his HillClan roots.
