Two muscular silver figures trotted alongside the lake, stopping frequently to scent mark. Ironhide and Jetfire were on sunhigh patrol, the silver brothers comfortable enough together, speaking only occasionally.
Both toms bore identical heavy builds, big-pawed, strong-shoulder, broad-chested. Jetfire was taller by a head though - a Rootclan cat to the extreme. His fur was silver with black speckles, whereas Ironhide's had distinct black swirls, making them easy to tell apart.
"No Tunnelclan scents here." Muttered Ironhide as they reached the center of the lake. Jetfire sniffed a post sticking up from the sand and rubbed his cheek against it to mark it. "Pity. I could do with kicking some dirtcrawler tails." He announced cheerfully.
