Silverstar was up at dawn, her pretty silver-dappled fur glowing in the light beaming in through the windows. Today she would lead a patrol to seek out the missing Moonguards - let the other clans sit on their tails, but Crowclan would not let them go without a fight - or at least a hunt.
She jumped from the smooth marble surface of her den, sniffing the air. She nodded to her brother who had been sitting guard while the clan slept, a silent figure beside the doorway. Streamfur allowed his jaws to part in a yawn before he flashed a sheepish grin, and Silverstar nodded to him to go get a morning's rest.
She sat down in the entrance herself, the concrete under her fur warm where Streamfur had been sitting. Eager to be gone, her tailtip flickered restlessly.

Elmshade had been up a few minutes ago, grooming her fur in preparation for this important day. Seeing Silverstar emerge from her den, Elmshade sprang down from her nest on the second layer of that huge stone structure.
Taking care to move quietly, not wishing to disturb her Clanmates, Elmshade dipped her head at Silverstar in profound respect. She sat down beside her leader, ears pricked, eyes alert, waiting for the rest of the patrol.

Secondsight hadn't been able to sleep, and instead spent the night sitting just outside the warrior's den. Her dark fur blended in nicely to the shadows of the old mausoleum, so only her eyes were the most noticeable part of her. She flicked her tail lazily back and forth, making a soft thump as it hit the floor repeatedly.
Seeing the leader waiting, she remembered the patrol planned to go out in search of the Moonguards. For a moment Secondsight considered ignoring them and trying to go back to sleep...But, she wasn't really tired anyway. Besides, she could use a little excitement. Heaving herself to her paws, the slender chocolate tabby padded over to Silverstar and Elmshade, nodding to each of them without a word.

Squirrelpaw poked her head out of the Apprentice's Den, yawning widely before seeing the gathering patrol. She quickly glanced back at her brother and Bluepaw, smiling. So cute together! Stretching quickly, the ginger apprentice darted over to Silverstar, Elmshade and Secondsight, grinning up at them.

Elmshade nodded back to Secondsight and Squirrelpaw, ears flicking. What was Secondsight doing here? She hadn't been invited to come, at least from what Elmshade remembered. She tilted her head at Silverstar in question, but didn't voice her concerns out loud, not wishing to offend anyone.

Primeheart bounded down to the ground, ready and waiting, his blue eyes sparkling. He was fresh and refreshed after a good night's sleep- he always had slept like a rock.
In the apprentice den, Bluepaw lifted a sleep head off Snakepaw's shoulder. "Have fun." she murmured, tucking her head back and closing her eyes once her friend was gone.
Suilverstar gave Secondsight a quick flick of her tail. "You may as well come too since you're up." She said, nodding to Crowfoot as he slowly came down to ground level. He yawned and nodded back.
"All right, everyone's here. Today's objective is to track news of the four missing Moonguards - nothing has kept them from reporting to the Gathering before. We will scout the area around the Moonstone, and speak to any nearby loner, rogue or kittypet who may have seen anything. Everyone must keep together, Squirrelpaw." Her eyes had an amused but warning gleam as she looked to the apprentice.

Squirrelpaw grinned sheepishly up at Silverstar, giggling lightly. "I promise I'll behave, Silverstar." she giggled, still grinning as she bounced from paw to paw.

Secondsight felt herself blush slightly, realizing everyone else here had been chosen in advance. Well, it didn't matter now. It seemed Silverstar didn't mind another set of paws. She nodded again to show her understanding, eager to get on the move.
